SOURCE: Death Certificate: Robert E. Mings worked as a conductor for the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad, part of New York Central System, in Chicago and in Hammond, IN., returning to Billings, MT., in 1972. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and wood carving. Mr. Mings died Tuesday in Western Manor Nursing Home. He was born in Forsyth, a son of Robert and Sarah Mings. He was raised and educated in Billings and later moved to Chicago. In 1932, he married Vivian Agnes Stringari in Chicago. They moved to Hammond in 1940. Survivors include two sons, Richard W. of Seoul, Korea, Robert C. of Tempe, AZ.; a brother Walter of Ronan, MT., Two sisters, Anges Lauson of Phoenix, AZ., and Mae Belle Gorman of Leesburg, VA.; and six grandchildren. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday in Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Billings, MT. |
