Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Augustine's Catholic Church for Roy H. Laramie, 68, of rural St. Cloud, who died Wednesday at St. Cloud Hospital. The Rev. Robert Wieber will officiate. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud. Moose Lodge 1400 will pray at 2 p.m.; East Side VFW Post 4847 will pray at 6:30 p.m.; parish prayers will be held at 7 p.m.; and St. Augustine's Men's Group will pray at 7:30 p.m. Laramie was born March 3, 1919 [sic], in Grand Rapids to Elmer and Lucy (Robichaud) Laramie. He married Cecelia Murphy June 8, 1946, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Cloud. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as an instructor at the Minnesota Correctional Facility-St. Cloud for 25 years until he retired in 1974. He was a member of St. Augustine's Men's Group and Usher's Club; VFW Post 4847; Moose Lodge 1400; Beaux and Belles Square Dancers Club; and National Ski Hall of Fame. Survivors include his wife, Cecelia; two sons, Daniel, Monticello, and Jim, St. Cloud; two brothers, Paul, Coleraine, and Arthur, Sanford, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. John (Marjorie) Hennessy, Minneapolis; and four grandchildren.
