Age 94, of Brooklyn, passed away on Thursday, at UW Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Moncton New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Albenie J. and Delphine M. LeBlanc. Lorraine married Patrick H. Shea in 1949. Together they eventually settled in Oregon, Wis., to raise their family. She was a career youth counselor at the Oregon School for Girls and Lincoln Boys School, retiring in 1982. Lorraine was an active member of the Fitchburg Senior Center and Holy Mother of Consolation Catholic Church. Lorraine loved to travel and made numerous trips to her native Canada, Hawaii, Florida and Europe. She also loved to knit for family, friends, hospitals and church. Lorraine always thought of others before herself, supporting veterans and children's charities, especially St. Judes Children's Hospital. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick in 1977; sisters, Tina and Edith; and brothers, Alphonse, Oscar, Adelin and Valerie. |
