Michel ôMitchö Charles de Moissac passed away at Vernon Jubilee Hospit al on Monday, December 10, 2007, at the age of 87 years.

Mitch will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by wife Donna of Ar mstrong; daughter Tracey (Del) Griffin of Armstrong; son Michael (Deed ee) de Moissac of Abbotsford; grandchildren Tawney (Bobby) Dirksen, Da rcey (Kenn) Buxton and daughter Adora, Dustin Griffin and Cole Griffin ; siblings Madeline Normandeau of Winnipeg, Gene de Moissac of Edmonto n and Tony de Moissac of North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Pre-decease d by son Mark.

Mitch served in the Air Force during WWII. He had a long career as a r ealtor and manager of Hugh & McKinnon at White Rock (where he was know n as the Great White Pelican) and became his own housing contractor an d developer.

Retiring to the Armstrong/Vernon area over thirty years ago he pursue d his passion for fishing. Mitch also enjoyed woodworking, gardening a nd travel in his RV.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 14, 200 7. Father Leo Boyd, O.M.I. celebrant. Inurnment to follow at Armstron g Spallumcheen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mi tch may be made to Vernon Jubilee Hospital, Light A Bulb Campaign, 210 1-32 Street, Vernon, BC V1T 9Z9.
