Richard J. Mihlbauer, 76 Sauk Rapids Aug. 31, 1935 - Aug. 27, 2012 Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Sartell for Richard J. Mihlbauer, age 76, who passed away Monday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Timothy Baltes will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Richard was born Aug. 31, 1935 in Litchfield to Richard P. & Rose (Berle) Mihlbauer . He married Eleanor "Tootz" Arnold on Sept. 3, 1955 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins. They lived in Litchfield until moving to Sauk Rapids in 1966. Richard was a salesman for Kemp's Ice Cream and in 1979 went to work for Granite City Jobbing. He also was a custodian at St. Francis Xavier School in Sartell. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell. Richard enjoyed dancing, golfing and watching the Minnesota Twins, Gophers and Vikings. He was very proud of his children, grandchildren and especially his great grandson. Survivors include his daughters and son, Robyn (Steve) Paul of Sauk Rapids, Darice (Todd) Johnson of St. Cloud and John Mihlbauer of St. Cloud; Dick's special friend, Marcie Wochnick of Waite Park; grandchildren, Joel, Danny, Kyle, Kevin, Philip, Cameron and Tyler and great grandson, Landon. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Tootz in April 30, 1979; sister, Rose Brown; and brother, George Mihlbauer. |
