He quickly fell in love with the beauty of Montana and the outdoor lifestyle it offered while pursuing his interest in hunting, bird dogs and fishing sports. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Esther Rooney Parker and son, Gary Parker. He is survived by a daughter, a son and daughter-in-law , 8 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
