Jacqueline was Paul's second marriage, his first being to Mary Jo Compton (1927-2001) in 1948, with whom he had a number of children. Paul died of a stroke, leaving Jackie "with 5 children ranging in age from 5 to 16," according to her aunt Juleen in a letter to Lyle Martin in December 1982. |
