Mass of Christian Burial for John J. Jack Ruhland will be 11:00 a.m, Friday, June 21, 2013 at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley. Rev. Jerome Naduvathaniyil, OSB will officiate. Burial will be at St. Peters Catholic Cemetery in Eden Valley. Friends and relatives may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Eden Valley and at church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2013. Jack was born on December 27, 1930 in Eden Valley to Michael and Wilhelmina (Fink) Ruhland. He was married to Katherine Tintes on October 13, 1951 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Eden Valley. Jack lived his entire life in Eden Valley. He was a mink rancher for 25 years and had egg laying hens for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, golf, telling stories and most of all his family. Survivors include his wife, Katherine of Eden Valley; children, Douglas (Diane) of Eden Valley, Paula of Mpls, John M. (Sandy) of Mpls, Patrick (Joyce) of Brooklyn Center, Andrea (Paul) Ruhland of Lakeville, Brenda (Brian) Bianchi of Austin, TX, and Daniel Ruhland of Roseville; brother, George M. (Mary Lou) Ruhland of Eden Valley; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Bernice Johnson, Ervin Ruhland, Mary McIntire, Richard Ruhland, and infant brother, Edward.
