He married Joyce Baker on July 20, 1957 and she preceded him in death on June 29, 1999. Mr. Egan retired from General Motors in 1992 where he was a Tool and Die maker for 39.6 years. He had a wide variety of interests including history and genealogy. Surviving are: five children, John (Tonya) Egan of Otisville, Paul (Brooke) Egan of Davison, Maureen (Joey) Kline of Burton, Timothy Egan of Ionia, Shannon Egan (fiancÚ, John) of New Zealand; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four siblings, James (Wanda) Egan of Ortonville, Jean (Robert) Simpson of Flint, Richard (Debbie) Egan of Burton, Edmond (Beverly) Egan of Montrose.
