Burial: St. Donatus Cemetery, Brooten, MN There's another Majerus family that intermarried with the Rooney's in Stearns County (Anthony Andrew Majerus m. Catherine M. Rooney; Elizabeth Majerus m. Robert George Rooney: siblings married siblings). But that other German-speaking Majerus family came from Luxembourg in 1891 and was initially found in the 1920 census in Gully, Polk County, Minnesota. John's father came from Germany in 1889, and his father and father's brother were living in Crow Lake Township, Stearns County in the 1900 census (under the erroneously recorded name of "Magenos") . |
