Emma Olive Ruhr Kahl, 86, of Salem died Tuesday. She was born in Conrad, Mont., and worked in food service for Ventur a School District in California for 10 years. After retiring she move d from Los Angeles to Salem in 1975. She enjoyed traveling, reading an d music. Her first husband, Ben Ruhr, is deceased. Survivors include her husband, Lawrence, whom she married in 1952; dau ghter, Ellen Mendenhall of Salem; sons, Robert Ruhr of Salem and Micha el Kahl of Dallas; sisters, Cely Laramie of Minnesota and Eileen Katsi s of Illinois; brother, Hugh Murphy of Minnesota; 11 grandchildren; an d five great-grandchildren. Visiting will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Barrick Funeral Home. Rosar y will be 9:30 a.m. and Mass 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Cat holic Church, where she was a member. Interment will be 1:30 p.m. Frid ay at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. |
