Arnie was a carpenter by trade. He built many houses in Cheyenne in the 70's and 80's. He also worked for Federal Construction out of Colorado Springs. He was their superintendent for 7 years and ran all of their building projects on Warren Air Force Base. He then worked as the building maintenance man for C.B. Potts restaurant. He worked for them until his motorcycle accident in 2006, which left him in a wheel chair full time. Arnie was an active member of Cheyenne Frontier Days. He was on the Concession Committee for 2 years and Contestants committee where he was a timer on Chute 9 and a member of PRCA. Arnie was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed to hunt and fish. He was active in the Boy Scouts both as a helpful dad and a leader. He really enjoyed helping his 2 sons build the Pinewood Derby cars. His hobbies included planting trees and having a vegetable garden. He also worked on old classic cars and rebuilding engines to these cars. He liked to ride his motorcycle on every nice day he could. His best days after his accident in 2006 were spent with his 3 grandchildren, Logan, Katalyna and Colton. They brought his smile back to him. He was a loving husband, inspiring dad, and a "spoiling grandfather". He will be sorely missed by all of those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Monica and a sister, Mary.
