Larson, Roger G. Age 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by love Nov ember 29th.

A man of faith, family and adventure. A long-time Minneapolis firefigh ter who taught fire safety to a generation of Minneapolis school child ren. Spent the last 15 years of his career as an arson investigator fo r the department. Served honorably in the U.S. Navy during WWII and to ok part in the pivotal and successful battle of Lahti Gulf. Pursued in terests on the land, sea, and in the air. Got his pilots license and d iscovered America with his children in a single engine airplane durin g month long vacations to the south and west.

Upon retirement in 1978, sold his long-time home in south Minneapoli s and spent the next several years on the open sea sailing the beautif ul catch 'Chautauqua,' to pacific ports in Mexico, Canada, and the U.S . Traveled extensively in Europe and Asia. Made pilgrimage to visit ma ternal homeland in beloved Ireland.

Had an abiding faith in the Lord and a courageous spirit that will rem ain an inspiration to his family and those he touched around the world . May joy and peace surround you, contentment latch your door, and hap piness be with you now, and bless you evermore.

Survived by children Michael, Kathy, Danny (Sandy), Diane DeLong (Bob) , and Shelly Hudson (Stuart); beloved sister Mary Hedstrom; fifteen gr andchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many Hedstrom nieces and nephe ws. Services Friday, 11AM CHURCH OF ST. PETER, 1405 Hwy. 13, Mendota , with visitation Thurs. 5-8PM, HENRY W. ANDERSON MORTUARY, 147th an d Garrett, and 1/2 hour prior to service at church. Interment Ft.
