Mildred E. Lang, 94, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on All Saints Day, November 1, 2006 at St Alexius Medical Center. Mildred Lang was born December 10, 1911, the daughter of Thomas and Bibiana (Killeen) Shea. She was raised and educated in Hazelton, ND and attended Valley City State College. She taught in various schools around the area and had also been the Emmons County Register of Deeds in the early 1950's. On December 27, 1941 she married Charles V. Lang of Linton, ND and resided there until her death. Mildred loved to play cards and have coffee with her friends. She was a caring wife and mother and always enjoyed getting together with family and friends to visit. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Hedy Lang, Bismarck; two sisters and brothers-in-laws, Lorraine and Ed O'brien, Minneapolis, MN; Kathleen and Bernie Vagnoni, St. Paul, MN; three grandchildren, Charlie Lang, Andrew Lang, and Gina (Hayden) Schulte, Bismarck; and two great-grandchildren, Cade and Teah Schulte, Bismarck. She was preceded in death by her husband in July 2004; her parents; two sisters, Olive and Lucille; and three brothers, Leonard, Ed, and Pat. Services will be held Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Gary Benz officiating. Burial will be at the Veteran's Cemetery on Monday, November 6th at 10:00 AM.
