Lance Ross Charles Edman was born on May 15, 1952 in Willmar, the son of Charles and Elaine (Lesteberg) Edman. He grew up on the family farm north of Pennock. He attended New London High School, graduating in 1970. On September 30, 1972, Lance was united in marriage to Marilyn Walz at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. To this union three sons were born. They made their home on the Edman family farm where he farmed, drove bus for Peterson Bus service, worked at Belgrade Sales Barn and Hillcrest Truck Stop.

Lance was a member of East Norway Lake Lutheran Church and served on the Lundby Cemetery Board. He enjoyed playing cards, farming, listening and helping others. He especially loved spending time with his boys.

Lance is survived by his sons, Shawn Edman (significant other, Rachael) of Pennock, Shane (Amy) Edman of Elk River, and Shale Edman (significant other, Megan) of Denver, Co; grandchildren; ex-wife, Marilyn Edman; mother, Elaine Peterson; and siblings, Lori (Bruce) Meder, Lynae (John) Olson and Laird (Sally) Edman. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles and step-father, Russell Peterson.

The family would especially like to thank the angels from Marion Manor in Sunburg, Pastor Wayne, and the neighbor and friends who have helped him. In Lieu of thank you notes, the family is planning donation to the Sunburg Ambulance.
