Egan, Dorothy L. Fondly known to many as "Dot" Beloved aunt, passed away at 101 years old on Saturday, September 21st at St. Therese's Nursing Home in New Hope, MN. She was preceded in death by 11 siblings. She was survived by her brother Hilary "Duke" Egan (wife - Shirley) and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and even great-great nieces and great-great nephews. We express much heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the wonderful staff at St. Therese's for their years of loving service on behalf of this wonderful lady. A private family get together will be held at a later date. Published on October 6, 2013 My Great Aunt Dot never married. She was a wonderful woman. She lived in a beautiful home in Minneapolis, MN on Zerxes Ave. She kept an orderly home, was a wonderful cook, and took in borders. She took care of her mother until her death. She sold the home and moved to Shakopee, MN. She was a devout Catholic and had many god-children. I was one of them. She later moved to assisted living. She was a very happy person. She went blind in her later years and had to use a wheelchair to get around. She lived in assisted living with her sister, Mary Catherine Fontaine, until Katie passed on. Katie was my grandmother. Dot passed away the month after turning 101. - Catherine A. Badger |
