Services were June 26 for Margaret Zierden, 89, formerly of St. Cloud, who died June 22 in St. Paul.

Internment was in Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights.

Arrangements were made by O'Halloran and Murphy Funeral Home, St. Paul.

Margaret Zierden attended St. Cloud Teachers College and retired from St. Paul public schools after 25 years. She was a former volunteer at St. Luke's and Holy Spirit churches adn Dorothy Say Loaves & Fishes. She was a member of Lay Order of Carmelites.

Survivors include her children, Jane Muller of Las Vegas, Peter of Galena, Ill., Katherine Kohn of Woodbury, and Ann Hanson of Lakeland; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sister, Jean King of Sioux Falls, S.D.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1956; son, Karl in 1996; and one granddaughter.
