James died of pancreatic cancer. James H. Sturtevant, age 66, a resident of Dardanelle, died Thursday, June 12, 2008, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. He was born January 22, 1942, in Washington, D.C., to Winfred Lyle and Alice Emory Sturtevant. He was an engineer. He enjoyed all aspects of astronomy. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Patricia Sturtevant; two daughters, Anne and Kelly Sturtevant of Fayetteville; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Alexandra Sturtevant of Bryant; his mother, Alice E. Sturtevant of Dardanelle and two sisters, Jane Freeman and Judy Stocks, both of Dardanelle. A memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. Monday, June 16, 2008, at the Shinn Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to the Russellville Animal Shelter, 3115 South Mobile Avenue, Russellville, AR 72802. |
