FORT WORTH - Nora Margaret Shaw Stinnett, 71, a homemaker and former employee of the brokerage firm of Merrill, Lynch, Pearce, Fenner & Smith, died of cancer Sunday at home.

Vigil: 7 tonight at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Cathedral.

Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Stinnett was born in Fort Worth and was a lifelong resident.

She was a graduate of both Our Lady of Victory High School and College, a member of Beta Sigma Phi and a volunteer for many years at St. Joseph Hospital.

Mrs. Stinnett was a 40-year member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, where she served on the school board, Parish Council and Altar Society.

She was also a member of National Council of Catholic Women.

Memorials: The Community Hospice of St. Joseph or the American Cancer Society.

Survivors: Husband, Ashby E. Stinnett of Fort Worth; three sons, Michael Stinnett and Martin Stinnett, both of Fort Worth, and Christopher Stinnett of Dallas; daughter, Julia Hummert of Grandview; sister, Mildred Shaw of Fort Worth; and two grandchildren.
