Cleve Egan passed away suddenly September 16, 1974 at the Glenwood Community Hospital.

Cleve was born April 11, 1894, in Brooten, Minnesota, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Rooney) Egan. He attended school in the Pope County School System and continued his education at the Unversity of Minnesota Farm School. Cleve married Margaret Sullivan on October 28, 1925 at St. Patrick's Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Egan's resided in the Twin Cities where Cleve was employed as a Electro Typer for a Printing Firm. In May 1965 they moved to Alexandria. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and an active member of the Ave Maria Runestone Knights of Columbus Council No. 4718.

Funeral Mass was September 19, 1974 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Alexandria, with Rev. Arthur Hoppe officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Ave Maria Runestone Knights of Columbus Council No. 4718. Pallbearers were Norbert J. Berberich, Leo G. Unger, Raymond Trousil, Herman Hiebel, Anton Hammer and Leo J. Hammer. Interment was at St. Mary's Cemetery, Alexandria, Minnesota. Services directed by Alexandria Funeral Home.
