Hershey Married Sophie Children- Carol Raden Vetter & Steven Raden Daily Press (Newport News, VA) - April 19, 1992 Deceased Name: JOHN P. RADEN HAMPTON - John Peter Raden, 82, a native of Avon, Minn., and a Peninsula resident for 50 years, died Friday, April 17. Mr. Raden retired from the Hampton Veterans Administration Medical Center after 30 years. He was a World War II veteran, a member of Knights of Columbus Council 511 and a member of Nocturnal Adoration Society. Survived by his wife, Sophie Raden; a daughter, Mrs. Steven A. Vetter of Norfolk; a son, Richard Raden of Zephyrhills, Fla.; two sisters, Irene Machren of Avon and Lucille Sheik of Waite Park, Minn.; six stepchildren; and four grandchildren. Wake at 7 p.m. Monday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home by the Rev. Nicholas Helldorfer. Visitation following wake until 8 p.m. Funeral 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church by the Rev.
